PAWS-itively Crafty Fall Festival

to benefit local felines-in-need

Saturday, October 5, 2024

10:00 AM to 3:00 PM

Dolbeare Elementary School Gym

340 Lowell Street

Wakefield, MA 02180

Thank you for your interest in joining our inaugural craft fair to benefit local pets and their people.

PAWS is an all-volunteer, 501c3 non-profit animal welfare organization and receives no local, state, or federal funding. Our mission is to promote and protect the rights and well-being of all domestic animals and wildlife and to foster a greater understanding of animal welfare and animal rights through education.

We rely on funds donated by the generosity of our volunteers and donors and fundraising activities.

We hope this craft fair will help fulfill these goals as well as celebrate the arts and appreciation for handmade crafts in our community and provide a delightful shopping experience for all.

PAWS makes no guarantee of attendance or sales at the craft fair.  PAWS will advertise through local news media, our website, our Facebook page as well as on other Facebook and Social Media pages. Flyers will be posted throughout Wakefield and surrounding towns.  Each vendor is asked to advertise as well, and copies of flyers will be provided to you to distribute and help spread the word to increase attendance and possible sales!

VENDOR APPLICATION DETAILS

Vendors will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis. In order to be diverse and increase everyone’s chances of good sales, we reserve the right to refuse applications if the items do not meet the show’s criteria or if there are too many of a particular product category. Vendors whose applications are received after all spaces have been filled will be put on a waiting list; in the event that a space opens up, those vendors will then be contacted.

Vendor spaces are 8’ x 8’.  One six-foot table and two chairs will be provided.  The donation for one space is $40.00 and should be included with this application.  This donation is non-refundable unless the event is cancelled by PAWS, or your application is not accepted for any reason.

As we want to promote and celebrate crafters of all types, we ask that only handmade items be offered for sale at this event.  Items may be made by you, a friend, or family member as long as they are handmade.  Reproductions are acceptable, if the original art was created by you.  Vendors may also sell craft supplies and books.

In the spirit of celebrating crafts and all things handmade, PAWS will not accept MLM vendors such as. Pampered Chef, Mary Kay, and the like.

AGREEMENT DETAILS

1.   Setup/Breakdown:  The venue will be open at 9:00 AM for vendors to set up and be ready to sell by 10:00 AM.  Breakdown may start no sooner than 3:00 PM and must be completed by
4:00 PM. No vendor is to close before the official closing time.

2.   Staffing: Exhibitor tables must be manned at all times and remain intact until the show closes at
3:00 PM.  If a vendor does not have assistance and needs a break, please reach out to a PAWS volunteer for help.

If you have special space needs, please include your request with your application and we will make every effort to accommodate you.

5.   Vendor Donation: As this is a fundraiser to benefit the animals in our care, vendors are asked to donate one item for a drawing to benefit PAWS.  Please supply a photo and description of your donation by September 20, 2024.  PAWS is a 501(c)3 organization and your donation may be tax deductible.

6.  Waiver of Liability: PAWS shall not be liable for damage or loss to Vendor's property through theft, fire, accident, or any other cause, whether the result of negligence or otherwise. Vendor shall indemnify PAWS against and hold them harmless from any complaints, suits, or liabilities resulting from negligence of the Vendor in connection with Vendor's use of Craft Fair space.  PAWS assumes no liability for any injury that may occur to visitors, vendors or their agents or employees, or others.
