Ways to Help
There are many ways you can help PAWS with our humane mission.
We're an all-volunteer 501c3 charitable organization that rescues and fosters cats for adoption and supports animal welfare efforts in the greater Wakefield communities since 1982.
The Pet Food Pantry

The Pet Food Pantry provides a vital safety net for local pet parents, one of the few dedicated resources of its kind in MA. It's open to anyone in need, not just Wakefield
residents.
The free food pantry helps families keep their beloved animals at home rather than the heartbreaking decision to surrender them due to financial hardship.
Located at our office at 411 Lowell Street, Wakefield, open Tuesdays from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
Donors keep the shelves stocked with essential supplies like wet and dry cat and dog food, treats and litter.
-
Donate food from the Food Pantry Wish List and cat toys
-
Run a food donation fundraiser at your business, school or organization.
Donate to PAWS

Donors are the true lifeblood of PAWS. Because we are a 100% volunteer-run organization, every single dollar goes directly to the frontline of animal care.
Since 1982, the unwavering generosity of local individuals, businesses, and organizations has sustained our mission proving that when a community steps up, thousands of animals are saved.

Foster

Being a foster volunteer with PAWS Wakefield is an incredibly rewarding way to save innocent lives. By opening your home, you give cats and kittens a safe, nurturing space to heal, grow, and let their true personalities shine.
Whether you're socializing a timid rescue or nurturing tiny kittens, you serve as the crucial bridge to their forever home, making every breakthrough purr and successful adoption entirely worth it.
